Dear Maclovia,
On the day that the United States Justice Department announced that SB1070 is unconstitutional and that it would sue Arizona to challenge the law because it would cause the “detention and harassment of authorized visitors, immigrants and citizens”, Governor Jan Brewer announced that she had established a legal defense fund to fight the federal government. Already she has received contributions of $48,000; and just yesterday, launched a website to raise even more money.
This is the height of arrogance and we are not going to let Jan Brewer get away with this.
If every supporter of Democracia Ahora gives just $2.00 we can match Jan Brewer’s $48,000. Will you make a contribution today and stand up for Civil Rights and Justice?
Democracia Ahora has launched a full out campaign to take Governor Brewer to task, to put an end to ill-conceived and discriminatory laws that don’t solve our immigration issues and simply serve to further divide our nation.
