4ta REUNION ESPECIALITINERANTE DE GRUPOS Y 

ACTIVISTAS DEFENSORES DE LOS DERECHOS DE 

LOS MIGRANTES

Estimados amigos y lideres:

Reciban nuestro respetuoso saludo, la presente tiene como finalidad invitarlos a la Cuarta Reunion Especial Itinerante de grupos y activistas defensores de los derechos de los inmigrantes, que se llevara a cabo en Passaic. Ya se han realizado tres reuniones itinerantes en New Brusnswick, Elizabeth y Perth Amboy y alrededor de 50 lideres se han puesto de acuerdo para llevar a cabo Foros en sus respectivas ciudades y hacer cabildeos con los Congresistas de sus distritos electorales. La siguiente reunion se llevara a cabo:

Fecha: Lunes 25 de Febreo, 2013

Hora: 6:30PM

Lugar: United Passaic Organization (Conference Room).

41 Myrtle Avenue, Passaic, NJ 07055.

Este grupo tiene como finalidad:

1) Desarrollar un plan de trabajo local, partiendo de la aplicacion de encuestas y un posterior foro comunitario en la ciudad donde se realize la reunion, con el fin de informar y escuchar a la comunidad inmigrante sobre los proyectos de Reforma Migratoria presentados.

2) Iniciar acciones estratégicas lideradas por las organizaciones de las ciudades y evaluar los posibles adiestramientos para los cabildeos con los Congresistas de su respectivo distrito electoral.

3) Extender esta invitación a otras organizaciones a nivel estatal para formar una fuerte coalición que represente a la comunidad inmigrante.

Esta reunión tiene la siguiente agenda sugerida:

1. Presentacion de nuevos miembros e invitados.

2. Breve informacion sobre los objetivos del Comite de Inmigracion.

3. Debate sobre las preguntas de la encuesta estatal.

4, Presentacion de propuestas, comentarios y opiniones de las organizaciones presentes, acerca de las propuestas del Presidente y Senadores sobre una reforma migratoria.

5. Informe de las acciones locales, estatales y a nivel nacional. (ejemplo: Marcha del 10 de Abril a Washington DC.)

6. Informe y acuerdo de fecha y lugar de próxima reunión.

Dear friends and leaders:

I hope everyone is doing well. The following is invite you to the fourth special meeting of activists and advocates for immigrants, which will be held in Passaic.. We already had three itinerant special meetings in New Brunswick, Elizabeth and Perth Amboy. About 50 leaders have agreed to conduct forums in their respective cities and lobby their Congressmen . The nextmeeting will be held:

Date: Monday, February 25th, 2013

Time: 6:30 PM

Location: United Passaic Organization (Conference Romm)

Address: 908 E. Jersey Street, Elizabeth, NJ 07201.

The meetings have the following goals:

1) Develop a local work plan: established from the information that we can gather from surveys and community forums (to inform and listen to the immigrant community about the projects regarding Immigration Reform); (Creating schedule of presentations and events).

2) Initiate strategic actions led by community organizations and evaluate the need for training of he community for lobbys with the congressmen in their electoral districts.

3) Continuously extend this invitation to other organizations of the State of New Jersey to form a strong coalition representing the immigrant community.

This meeting has suggested the following agenda:

1. Introduction of new members and guests.
2. Brief information on the objectives of the Immigration Committee.
3. Discussion on the state survey questions.4, Discussion of proposals comments and opinions of the organizations present on the proposals of the President and the Senate regarding immigration reform.
5. Report of local, state and nationwide actions. (example: April 10 march in Washington DC.)

6. Inform about the following meeting and Forums in other cities.
