“ANALISIS DE LA REALIDAD DEL INMIGRANTE PERUANO EN LOS ESTADOS UNIDOS”

Dear Peruvian Fellow Citizen and Friends of the Peruvians:

Please accept my respectful and cordial greeting. The current immigration law, which we hoped would be for the benefit of our undocumented brothers and sisters, has become a string of anti-immigrant state laws that have led to a bitter conclusion: The promise of a comprehensive immigration reform is increasingly far from becoming reality. "

The number of deportees has reached 400 thousand in 2010 and in 2011, that number has continued to grow. Many undocumented Peruvian workers have been separated from their families due to deportation, and many talented young Peruvians have failed to have a college education because they don’t have the authorized documents. Beyond that, the Peruvian authorities have not been clear in expressing their plan of action for the benefit of fellow citizens that have been deported. "

Due to this alarming situation today, we are committed to making the event titled: "Analysis of the Reality of Peruvian immigrants in the United States”. This event will be held at the Paterson Museum , located at 2 Market Street in Paterson , New Jersey . This event will be held on May 13 from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Speakers are successful entrepreneurs, Peruvian leaders, a representative of the Peruvian Consulate and a representative of the current candidates for the presidency of Peru .

One of the event objectives is to listen to proposals that benefit the Peruvians in the United States and their homeland. Besides, we can:
• Make an analysis of the problems of Peruvian immigrants in the United States .
• Discuss suggestions and assess the likelihood of development and legalization of the Peruvians in the United States .
• Review the law of incentives for return migration of Peruvian immigrants.
• Evaluate the help they would receive, in Peru , a fellow citizen who is deported, whether he is a worker or student.
• Listen to the representatives of the two presidential candidates on their policy of the treatment of Peruvians abroad and ask clarifying questions about it.

 The speakers are:
• Fiorella Polanco Martinez (Consul): Migration Incentives Act for those who want to return to Peru .
• Dr. Hector Castillo: Immigration and Health.
• Juan Carlos Reynoso: Immigration and Trade.
• Daniel Jara: Immigration and Labor.
• David Wong: Proposals for Peruvians abroad. for the candidate for the presidency of Peru , Keiko Fujimori,
• Norberto Curitomai: The Peruvian experience of the success in the U.S.
In advance, we give our deep appreciation to recognized community leader Roberto Bustamante for accepting to be the moderator of this event.

Doors open at 6:00 PM for registration and announcements. The maximum of participants is 80 and a modest snack will be given at halftime (10 minutes). Exhibitors, moderator, media and technical assistants will be a total of 18 people and are not included within the 80 people. The media may not be more than eight (8) because of space (2 of television, 1 of radio and 5 of national and international press.) Each speaker will have 10 minutes at most to develop his theme. The event will be divided into two parts: Exhibition of Argument and History and questions-proposals that benefit the Peruvian immigrant in the United States .
